As we age, our smile and frown lines become more noticeable as our bodies naturally begin losing collagen and elastin.
Frown lines are the furrows that appear on our brow when we frown, squint, or concentrate. After years of repeating the same expressions, these become etched into our faces, leaving lines between our eyebrows or above the bridge of our nose.

Age Spots
Age spots, sometimes referred to as liver spots, are oval-shaped spots that can vary in size and color, from light tan to dark brown or black. Typically, they begin to appear as we get older, usually around the age of 50. However, depending on your skin color and the amount of time you spend in the sun, they can show up earlier.
Because they are exacerbated by exposure to the sun’s rays, especially here in Central Texas, age spots often appear on our most visible areas like our face, hands, shoulders, and arms. While age spots do not lead to skin cancer, it may be difficult to tell the difference between age spots and other types of growths that could be precancerous, so it is a good idea to get regular examinations by a dermatologist. Also, depending on the location and number of sun spots, many people choose to have them removed for appearance reasons.

Rosacea
Rosacea is a common skin affliction that can occur in anyone, but is most common among light-skinned women between the ages of 30 to 50. It is manifested by facial redness, spontaneous uncontrolled flushing and blushing, and acne breakouts. If you’re suffering from rosacea, you have probably experienced periods of symptoms that flare up for weeks or even several months.
Topical and oral antibiotics have been used to reduce the associated acne breakouts, but until recently there was no treatment for the redness, flushing, and blushing. Now, Absolute Dermatology & Medi-Spa is thrilled to be able to offer a variety of non-surgical procedures to treat these symptoms and help restore a more natural, healthy appearance.
Our Fotofacial RF procedure is FDA-approved for facial rejuvenation. Crow’s Feet
When we smile or squint, the muscles around our eyes pinch the skin, creating temporary or “dynamic” wrinkles around the corners of our eyes. As we get older, these lines become more pronounced.
